Hello, I'm Ariel, founder of KURAHOME, mother of one toddler. But I'm not the only brain behind KURAHOME.
I've always been inspired by my mother-in-law, a homemaker, who has a house full of unique and beautiful homeware collected over the years, from many countries. These items are her pride and glory, and she'd happily bring them out to show me whenever there's a chance.
Because of her, I started KURAHOME believing that your home should be a place where you feel happy and safe, surrounded by the things you love and treasure.
FYI, KURA means TREASURE.
While looking after my son and managing the home, I also started to realize how much plastic I'm using, and waste I'm producing - ziploc bags to keep food and toys, cling wraps for half used food etc.
That's when I started to take baby steps to be more eco-conscious in my everyday living, and began ditching plastics for more sustainable items like reusable silicone bags, lids, lunch boxes etc.
I'm still far from being an eco-warrior, but I think small efforts can make a difference. So, I would love to share these life (and earth) savers, simple changes really, with more people.
We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.

With my favourite quote in mind, KURAHOME is birthed with the aim to fill your homes with stylish yet practical and eco-friendly lifestyle essentials. We treasure every piece we bring in, and we hope to help curate a house into your home.
Lastly, thank you to my husband, my pillar of support, who gave me the push to start KURAHOME.
At KURAHOME, we hope to motivate you along your #lesserwaste #lesserplastic journey.
We cannot do everything at once, but we can do something at once.
